My experience at the David Curtis School of Floral Design is one
that will never be forgotten. Having previously work in a floral shop
for several years, I thought that I knew alot about the business. I was
about to open my own floral shop when I decided to attend the David
Curtis School of Floral Design. Prior to attending the school I was not
very excited because I thought that it was going to be a waste of my
time. However, to my surprise attending the David Curtis School of Floral Design was one of the best decisions I had ever made. It has helped me to become a professional businessman along with becoming knowledgeable about floral products and supplies. Each day the instructors presented many new and interesting topics. I was taught the correct way to communicate with clients during wedding and funeral consultations, the proper way to care for fresh cut flowers, and to create different styles and trends to capture a buyers eye. The David Curtis School of Floral Design gave me the opportunity to work with top notch instructors who provided one on one instruction. If I had any questions or problems they were there assisting me. Even after the class ended and I am now on my own, if I have any questions I pick up the phone and call my instructors. They guide me in the right direction every time. Ruth, Joe, and Cindy mean so much more to me than just being my instructors. In the three short weeks that I attended classes they have left me a lifelong impression for which I am indebted. In conclusion, after leaving school I have brought back with me so many experiences that have helped me to achieve my goal of owning and operating a florist. I have a sense of confidence that I did not have before attending their program. This was a learning experience that just never ends. I have since opened Hopedale Florist located in Hopedale, Ohio where I am "the talk of the town." Thanks so much David Curtis School of Floral Design. You have changed my life!!! ![]() David R Nation JR (owner) Hopedale Florist LLC Featuring DeZigns by David 118 E Main Street PO Box 196 Hopedale, Ohio 43976 740-937-2066 |

| "I learned a lot in the 3 weeks of classes. This course covers
all the aspects of floral design, the basic arrangement styles, flower
types and their care, how to approach a customer, whether it be a bride
to be, a grieving family or just someone looking to brighten someone's
day. I highly recommend this program for people wanting to get into this
field. Although most flower shops will train you, having more of a
formal training I was able to tell my perspective employer "this is what
I can do", and not have to ask "how do I do this". I've worked for a
shop in York PA for about a year and a half." Amber Graduate |

| "I found the class in a flash and finished in a flash. I have
never had three weeks of my life go by so quickly. I have to honestly
say they are three weeks in my life I shall NEVER forget, and have
greatly changed my life. I have been in the business for some time yet I
was taught lessons that I shall carry with me forever. I was deeply
saddened to have to leave. The instructors gave a lot of encouragement
and just enough push to make it a rewarding experience I shall cherish.
I almost feel as if I left my family when it was over. To anyone that is
contemplating the class, I highly recommend the David-Curtis School of
Floral Design. If you have been in the business and think there is
nothing left to learn... think again. If you are a beginner or have
years in the floral industry I personally feel that you will finish the
class knowing it was time well spent and the confidence you leave with
is priceless." Kimberly Graduate (Kim was 1 of 2 Valedictorian's in her class) |

| "I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in
perusing a career in the floral industry. The course will help you to
become a more well-rounded floral professional in keeping with the high
standards most customers come to expect from their florists. If you are
interested in opening your own retail florist, the business portion of
this course is a must!"
Tricia 2001 Graduate (Trish graduated with the highest GPA ever awarded by the David-Curtis School of Floral Design. She is currently employed in Clarksville, TN at a retail florist.) This course gave me the basic skills and encouragement needed to operate my business successfully. Thanks! Jack, Graduate Owner, Deal's Flowers Beavercreek, Ohio |
